[ERROR] This application has failed to start because FTChip.dll was not found. Reinstalling app may fix the problem

Symptom

My Genius Client software fails to start by showing this error:

“This application has failed to start because FTChip.dll was not found. Reinstalling app may fix the problem”.

Cause

The DLL FTChipiID.dll and ftd2xx.dll are missing.

Solution

1. Run the DS Update as following https://reserved.dimsport.com/kb/article.aspx?id=574 .

2. If the problem persists, reinstall the My Genius Client setup or ask your Master to provide you the latest available setup
