[ERROR] [0x3712] Wrong selection of Brand Model Type or unknown ECU

Symptom

You might run into this error after selecting the model type on the My Genius device:

Cause

It has been selected a wrong Brand/Mode/Type or the ECU is not compatible with this protocol.

Solution

  1. C lick on ‘OK’ and the procedure will restart from the beginning until you perform the correct selection.

  2. If it has been selected a wrong BRAND, reset the tool in this way (CAS E 5) https://reserved.dimsport.com/kb/article.aspx?id=761 and ask your Master to select the correct one.

P.S. The ECU might not be supported. To make sure, send all specifics of your vehicle to your Master.
